Rolf Wiggershaus (born 1944) is a German philosopher. His principal fields of interest include philosophy of language and the philosophy of the Frankfurt School. He first received the attention of the philosophical public for his study Analysis of language and sociology: The importance of Wittgenstein’s philosophy of language in social sciences (1975). In addition to this book on Habermas, he has dedicated several other books to the Frankfurt School and its most prominent representatives: The Frankfurt School: Its history, theories and political significance (1986), Theodor W. Adorno (1987), Introduction to Max Horkheimer (1998), and Wittgenstein and Adorno: Two types of modern philosophizing (2000).
